Hi guys,

Can you explain me how to check if a PCM is stock or flashed??? This stuff is new for me so i hope you can help me.
The previous owner of my truck put the Bassani headers, stainless magnaflow cat back exhaust on the truck and i bought last week a K&N drop in airfilter from ebay. I receive the new airflilter some days ago at home so i thought friday evening, i put the K&N airfilter into my truck.. I opened the box and damn!!! there was already a K&N airfilter in the truck :banghead: I didn't look in the truck before i ordered the K&N airfilter (stupid offcourse). I sold the new K&N airfilter yesterday to a 2006 SRT/10 QC driver also from Holland.. But now i'm curious about the PCM into my truck because the previous owner put some more performance mods on the truck so maybe he changed also the PCM for a stage 2 or??????? Can you tell me if it's possible to check this out?

Or maybe there is a SRT/10 member from Alabama who knows the previous owner of my truck so i can try to contact him?? I bought the truck from a Dodge dealership in or close to Albertville with 14000 miles on it, with the bassani headers en magnaflow cat back system...Truck has also a bedrug in the bed...

Any information about truck or pcm is much appreciate :top:
Thanks.

I don't know how to check the pcm if it have been flashed. Maybe you can try find out who the previous owner and his phone number. So, you can call him and ask what the modified did he do? :dontknow:

Generally the tuners put their stickers etc on them to identify who did it and what was done.

Yes there would be a B&G sticker or if DC Perf. did the flash, they would have a small sticker with the changes made on it as well. The computer comes by unplugging the plugs, then remove the 3 screws, top one last. Takes less than 5 minutes. You then can check out both sides of the computer to be sure.

mine did not come with a sticker from DC ,, Since you have a QC cant you find out by just youre shift points when you hammer down on it, Because if I am not mistaken , A QC flash changes shift points,,, And what temp does youre truck usually run? Because if he did all that he probaly changed the T-Stat too and a flash PCM will have Youre fan turn on alot sooner and youre temp wont run near as high as a stock truck. Do A seach on what all changes are on a QC and compare:rock:

If there is no sticker, then the shifts points will tell you for sure. The temp is one way to tell also. But with the colder outside temps it might be harder to tell. The stock PCM shifts real early on the 3-4 shift. And I think the 1-2 is around 5600 rpm, where the flash will shift around 6k rpm.

Thanks for the response :top:
I will take a look if i can find a sticker on the PCM and if there isn't a sticker, i will try to find out the shifts points and the temp next weekend.. Maybe i can ask to Alex (axxel). He has the same 05 SRT/10 QC truck and he lives very close to me in Holland so maybe we can compare both trucks..

Thanks again for the great response guys :top:
