I've been on the go since before Christmas. Went to Northern Illinois for Christmas, came back (Chattanooga, TN), worked 3 days then went to Tampa for New years. Been back since Tues night. Did some unpacking last night, and tonight I'm finally getting to sit on my ass for a bit. I enjoyed the time off work, and loved the places I went, but there indeed is "no place like home". Its nice to finally be somewhat settled in and not have to think or worry about what/who/where to do next! I sympathise truckers and those who travel often for work. I do love travelling and seeing things, but these past 2 adventures were not relaxing. Next vacation shall be in the keys w/ a chartered sailboat. Only concern will be what to drink next and which island to explore. All that to say, "Sigh", its good to be home.

Welcome home and glad you found some peace :D

Ah men to that. I ended up with another dog this holiday. Just what I needed, another dependent.

Life insurance policy and an accident will cure that! (I really do love dogs, but couldn't resist that one!)

Welcome Back Jimi!

You'll be pleased to hear that my last day of work was Friday, December 22nd, and I was done at 8:45 am that day(1/2 day). At that point I started my vacation, which I am still enjoying until next Thursday - January 11th. In that time I *think* I may have driven 25 miles total, haven't gone anywhere worth mentioning, and most days I fail to put on shoes! From the beginning I had no intentions of getting any real goals accomplished, and so far, so good.

I love it when a plan comes together.:D  :D

Relax - I think you earned it.:)

Not bad at all. Sat afternoon when we got there, spent the evening in Clearwater/Indian Rock beach. Clearwater is CROWDED.

Checked out Ybor City Sat night. I honestly wasn't impressed. If I were single looking for a lay, I would have been in the right spot.

Did Channel Side New Year's Eve. THAT was fun. More my style/class of folks. Not everyone was there to prove a point, everyone was there to celebrate the new year. Some guys up north got to enjoy seeing my GF's Tennesee Titties. But hell, she's a yankee herself.

Did the Outback Bowl New Year's Day. That was shitastrophe. TN didn't play worth a damn, and I hiked 3 miles back to the hotel in the rain.

I wanna go back when I have more time, it was my first time there. I think its a really cool town. It would be one of the few "big" cities I would live in.

I wasn't here when you left (new member), but welcome back!
I lived in Chattanooga for 9 years. My brother is still there. I moved back to Virginia in '98.

I would if I had any! She's never done anything like that before, it took some shots of tequila and some persuasion for her to let loose and show the sweater puppies. I think that was a one time only deal, she doesn't seem to be very proud she done it. I thought it was funny and fun!

Oh, and thanks!

Welcome to the forums! I'm pretty green myself.
I forget how neat a place Chattanooga is. My trip to Northern Illinois proved that one to me. Where abouts in VA? Is it better/worse that Chattanooga? Whats your brother's name? Is he into motorsports at all? I know alot of folks in the scene down here.

Where about did you in Northern Illinois?? I spent a little time in Great Lakes, Ill.! :( Place SUCKS!!!

I do kinda miss Florida and my buds!

Small town called Lena. Its like 2.5 hours west of Chicago, 10 miles from Wisconson, and like 60? miles from Iowa. Small farming community. Closest "large" city is Freeport or Rockford? It was cool to see the culture, everyone knows everyone. I thought north GA was secluded, I was wrong. Not many secrets though. Thats the bad part.
