I just wanted to confirm my problem with some of you guys on here;) In first gear from maybe a 15mph punch it pulls hard but at about 4000rpm's it feels like I hit a nos button or something:dontknow: Is this the delay in my vecII? If so I think I will send it to roe and have it upgraded to the III not sure that I like that:(

Have you dyno'd it lately?

Well, I'm not sure what it would be:dontknow: I noticed also today coming in from a day on the lake that it sounded fine but while driving felt like it was missing kinda:dontknow: but no CEL like the last time;)

with the vec II the tune can change as the temp and weather changes, the vec III upgrade with use the Iat sensor which will compensate some for the changes in temp.

depends on when you had it tuned , what temp it was tuned for, drastic changes can make the truck ack differently

It was probaly in the low 90's and humid as hell the day joe tuned it:D It has been in the 80's the last few days here with low humidity so that could be it

could be bro, humidity plays a huge roll with the vec II

Its not temp issue :s: , from what Joe and I have talked about, it seems he ramps his timing maps hard from about 4k-up.....

Yep, thats exactly it. I found theres really no mid range. you either run it normal, or run it really hard.

That kick at 4k rpms is the nature of the hp/torque curves on these engines. There is the second delay before going into open loop and the VEC taking over with the VEC2...but if you floor it at 2800, its kicked in by 3500.

I would get on the dyno and check the tune....with the VEC2/3 you should be able to bring that sweet spot into the 3600 rpm range.

Its worth upgrading to the VEC3 just to get rid of the second delay. The VEC3 also eliminates the need to have warm and cold weather tunes.
