Hey fellas, I emailed Ned at Rollingthunderz and with in a hour or so had a response. So far im very impressed , he actually took the time time to explain to me the differences and what would best suite my purpose. Maybe he would like to become a sponser of the site ? Group buy on heads maybe ( wishing lol )

Any case here is some info he threw at me, which i thought i post for anyone else interested in heads that dont allready know what im about to post.

1/ He recommends phase 4 heads , they have a 2.055 valve
2/ 1st and 2cnd gen vipers heads are 1.92 intake Mopar evediently offerd a upgrade head in those years to bump up the intake to 2.02
3/ 3rd gen heads intake valves are 2.00
4/ Phase 4 heads are allso suited for supercharger applications, which is noted on his site :) thats my goal
5/ Phase 4 heads are streetable on a stock motor

now for the mula

The prices they list for the heads on there website is for modified work to make headers fit and reworked heads.

price - phase 4 heads and camshaft 4,750.00
phase 3 heads and camshaft 3,950.00

this is to rebuild and modifiy your current heads not new heads. If you want new heads they run 1,700 a pair

If you just want phase 4 heads and no camshaft 4,250.00

Im going to email him back with a few more questions, im not understanding why the headers wont fit ?

Dont know about you guys but Extra 80-100 ponies , which will look real nice combined with that paxton :) now your in the 800 hp range or very close.

Well I had to do the un thinkable .. i had to go to the other site and dig around in the post. Everyone talks about stryker heads so i wanted to compare them with the heads above ,but do you guys realize how g*ddamn hard it is to find that site lol. Well i found the link. And all i can say is wow stryker heads are kick Fu*king spetacular.

Let me post the site for anyone trying to find it like i was .

good info...

Just keep in mind that there is alot more to the price tag if you go this route....example....if you go heads, cam and paxton you will HAVE to go with forged internals due to the increase pressure...paxton + internals + heads + cam + headers + labor = $30k +.....then the driveline has to be upgraded.....

So they port and polish the stock heads, which seems to be the majority of the work. What ever happened to shaving the heads to increase compression?

BTW thanks for the info, prices seem a little steep for upgrades though.

Yeah, I think i may try to find a used viper motor, or a bottom end somewhere, and start a build on my engine stand.

Most of the work i will do myself with alot of friends and beer :)

My truck has to many low miles right now to tear it down lol. Cant bring myself to do it. So even though more money by doing it with another motor, in the long run i will have two viper motors then :) and one to transplant into another ride when the time comes.
