Folks I spent $4900.00 on "Billet Tranny" from Phoenix Hard Parts. First they sent me a completely wrong transmission. On the second try they sent me the almost right transmission but with two exceptions. The overdrive housing where the yoke goes in is the wrong size, I had to purchase a new yoke that would fit. But it's noticeably smaller than the stock one. The other exception is the gear actuator was wrong and wouldn't even allow the truck to start. They swap that from my stock tranny.

After driving the truck, the shifts are pretty soft and the tow haul mode doesn't work. It slips pretty bad in Tow Haul mode.

I purchase this tranny before Boomer started the install on my truck. Back in July 9th...

I am getting a refund even if I have to fly to Phoenix for it...

Hey Jr.....should we both buy new cars and be done with it.....:D

Sorry I didn't answer earlier but I was testing the truck some more. Off the line at WOT it perform pretty good shifting quick and hard without hitting the limiter. But going 80 MPH I feel some vibration when let off the gas or if I put it Neutral at that speed. A pretty discomfortable woo sound. I think that smaller yoke thru the shaft of balance even thought it's a self balancing shaft. I don't feel the vibration below 67 MPH.

I think I will sell the truck and get myself a Miata. I have seen a couple with LS1 conversions....

I'm here in Phoenix if you need help. Never heard of that trans outfit:dontknow:
I'd be leery of anything that came from a shop named Phoenix anything.
You do know what a Phoenix is dont you??

So what you're telling me is that my tranny is going to die and resurrect stronger when I go a different builder?:D :D :D

Well this is great. The last test and tune in MIR is tonite and I don't have a tranny.....

Hey Rick,
Sorry to hear about the problems. What a pain in the ass. I hope you can get the refund and go a different route, like doing a 6sp swap!!:D

Really, good luck mang,

damnit! i knew those fucksticks would do that shit again. that is the EXACT way the other tranny was shipped, in fact it almost sounds like they reshipped you the same damn thing. fight the credit card, and we will put a turbo 400 in it.

Dealing with that right now....

When I had my tranny built by Lee Myles, I asked him about Phoenix Hard Parts... and he told me NO WAY WOULD HE DEAL WITH THEM!!!

Anyone in Phoenix know of a lawyer specializing in Fraud. I might need some assistance. Thanks.

Man....hate to see this happen to ya.....Ive been down that road. If you can settle it without a lawyer, it would be the best way. I had to get my lawyer involved and by the time he got them to pay me I lost money because of his fees. I would see what kind of money they would give you back...maybe like 90 percent or something..if so take it and run~!

They are not offering anything...

I thought about it after I posted the question. If I was out of place I appoligize.

Good for you, that is one of the safest ways to purchase something. By the sounds of it, sadly I am sure your not the only one. :(
