Got the '72 Blazer out of the garage yesterday and cleaned her up in preparation for our upcoming car show in 2 weeks. I havent taken any digital pics of her so I thought I'd share a few with you.
I got the truck in highschool (my first vehicle in my name) which was 1985 or so. Of course it was a different color and totally stock. I've added the 4 inch Rancho lift, 33x12.50 tires, the original motor is still in the truck but has been bored out to 383 cubic inches. I have no idea on horsepower/torque numbers but would love to dyno it someday. Future plans (when I stop modding the SRT) include a rebuild or change to a large crate motor, 6 inch lift, 35 inch tires, complete the interior and stereo system. I hope to leave this truck to my 6 year old for his first vehicle.
Anyway, the market on '72 and earlier body style Blazers seems to be going up. You'll see lots of the pickups...not many Blazers. Maybe someday I'll find a 2 wheel drive version and mimic all the enhancements of my 4x4...just slam it to the ground. Current mileage is 97,500 or so...stock tranny.
