Well just woke up a few minutes ago from Perk1405 and I's trip to ZMax Dragstrip in Concord, NC.

I had a blast:rock:

We left here (Wilmington, NC) at about 5 AM and arrived at the track shortly after 9 AM. It was the largest Pink's Event Ever!!! Over 32,000 in attendance!!! I recommend everyone go to one of these events. So many bad ass rides and so many races that were decided by inches (literally).

It is a beautiful dragstrip that features 4 DRAG LANES!!!!!!!!

Perk and I were on hand for the first ever 4 car drag race:rock:
It was indescribable! Four burnouts, four cars, and the last of the races was determined by less than .01 seconds (that was the difference between the first car and the last car!!!)

They also had alot of exhibition cars. I got to see 2 jet cars, a Top Fuel Dragster, and a naked chick flashin the croud just two rows up LOL:rock:

The bad? It was looooooooonnnnnnnnngggggggg. We got there at 9 am and I left at 11:30 PM. It was hot as hell (literally 90) with no clouds and no wind. Other than that. It was the most racing I have seen at one venue ever!!!

I will go next year. I think it would make for a great GTG weekend. Tickets were fairly cheap (20 and 25) and you get more than an entire day worth of action!!!

And before you fricken ask, NO WE DID NOT TAKE ANY PICS! Perk and I both cleaned our trucks but upon arriving at the track, they were covered in gnats and bugs:mad:  :( If you are interested in seeing the 4 way drag racing the episode will air at the end of July or the first of August. It is episode 3.

In case my words weren't clear, We had a blast and the 4 way drags are the sheit!!!!

We had an awesome time at Atlanta Dragway last year at Pinks all out. A GTG would be a great idea.

I second that. I was there as well and it was a blast.

We got there at about 1030, general admission was sold out so we had to get reserved seats, only $5 more :D

It was very hot, but there were TONS of cars and some pretty cool exhibition stuff.

The top fuel car was UNREAL! If you have never seen one, I suggest you get on the ball. We are about to order our tickets to the NHRA event. Words cant even describe the feeling when that car went down the lane.
We got to watch them rebuild the motor also, and that was pretty neat. They are so organized and have it down. He pulled the clutch and changed a few discs in about 5 minutes while he was talking to another mechanic about random stuff. It's like second nature to them. Pretty cool really.

Anyway, it was a good time, hopefully we can all meet up next year!!

My buddy's camera died, so I took a few with my phone..

The car doing the wheelstand.. A friend of his was sitting next to us. He was running the same setup but had motor trouble. He said the wheelstand car has a 300 shot right off the light and it progresses to a 550 shot at the end of the track. He put on a good show..

And both of the cars in the finals were red, so red is officially the fastest color :D

And the fastest of the fast 8 was red too, what a coincidence.;)

Looks like an awesome time......

Four wide...... WOW.......Did anybody got sideways.....?

D

One guy went sideways off the line. I guess when he hit the trans brake release it was to much power to the wheels. He didn't hit the wall though (inches away)

One of the other cool things there was a 9 sec. s2000 that did A WHEEL STAND:eek:
I never thought such a small lightweight car could do a wheel stand but it did and then broke on the next pass:D

Well that settles it. If everything goes as planned I will host/setup a NC GTG next year in April!!!
