ok so here the scoop

i had an 87 corvette, i sold to my wife cuz for 5k - his mom put the down payment on the car - 2k.... he was expost to make payment on the car of 200 $ a mth, we he never did he made about 2 payment on the car and that waz it !!

now he selling the car after 3 yrs for 5k then he calls me lastnight and tells me that he wants his money back that he paid for the car the 2k + the 2 payments ect....

after i paid 7500 for the car put 4k into it and sold it to him for 5k witch he never paid !

now he tell me i owe him money wtf !!!!!!!

My question why did you let him keep the car for three years with out paying you the rest of the money? I hope you did not give him the title when mom made the down payment.

if you signed the title over to him, both of you are screwed, you for getting anything out of him, and vica versa

I second that. I sure hope you have this deal in writing. Getting that remaining $2600 HE OWES YOU will probably be a lost cause.. Which really if he sells the car for $5K he ought to give you the $2600 and call it even. :dontknow: He'll still have his $2400... In that way, his mom could get her down payment back and he can get his measly $400 back. But chances are it won't go down that smoothly. Let this be a lesson to you and all that reads this..

Something kinda similar happened to me, except I kept the title until I got all of my money. When he couldn't pay, I said "I'll take my car back please or I call the police and show them the unsatisfied bill of sale and my title". Car was back in my garage that night. Best of luck with your issue. If you don't beat the sh*t outta that guy, your a better man than me.

i did that with a yamaha 650 once ,,let guy make payments ,,,after 5 payments that were short ,,i tracked him down and wanted the cash or the bike ,,,he had the nerve to try to tell me i owed him his money back that he already paid ,,,i told him if GMAC finance repoed it back how much would they give back ,,,then we went at it in his drive way ! after the punching and cussing was over i loaded up bike and drove out of there

well i didnt get done work lastnight till 8:30pm -i was alittle tired but i went over there lastnight, and talk to him ( nice and clam ) and he still said i owed him money and that all he had to say to me,......WTF so instead of losin my cool and doing this that i would have regreted

i gave his mom back to the 2k had him mom sign the title - and drove the car home..... he stood b/h the car " so i would not take it " but i almost ran him over i drove off leaving him in tears 18 yr old boy crying in the middle of the street wtf...... lol

i was close to kickin the shit out of him..... now i have a corvette that i dont know wat to do with

his mom called me and we will work something out to where we both with be on the same page and get this matter settled

i really dont want the car - is one of the reason i never went after him b/4 - and being that it was my wife cuz, i let it go " i just didnt want to deal with it "

so the car is at my buddy house and wait to hear from the mother on wat she wants done !!!! weather im keepin the car - or she givin my my 2k back and wats is owed to me

It must be the New Math they're teaching in schools these days. This "I get my $2K back and get to keep the car" nonsense just doesn't add up to me. Glad you got the car back and hopefully everything will be resolved soon.
