By damn Stinker that does bring back memories. I beleive that is exactly that how I did it! As I recall I had 2 u joints on a long extension as well...

got everything back together,,,I got the new plug wires and put them back in the box. I will just wait till I go up to NC and stop in at stinkers. I have never been so dissapointed in myself but for the life of me I could not get that last bolt. My back could not take no more. So I worked on 1 bolt for 5 hours and it kicked my ass.... Now I am going to work on the camaro to least feel like I got something accomplished.

I really feel like the designers of todays cars and trucks should at least work 2 years on there own design to see how much a pain in the ass some things are
 
now that makes since . Well now I am going to go get another small swivel and try this again, I might have it done by tommorrow. Also when I get them all out . How far will the intake come up ? will I need a block of wood or something to block it up for I dont have to dissconnect any thing else?
 
ok , just got back from the parts store,,, now i got two small swivels. I am going back and trying this again. maybe I need a beer. I will let yall know how this go around goes
 
step back drink a beer take a breath hell drink two beers. being frustrated dont help.
 
Also they make a small round tool made out of plastic that really helps in removing the gas line from the fuel rail. DON"T try removing it without one of these tools.

so i do need to remove the fuel rail? Is that what the little blue plastic piece is for that came with the wires?

Nope, that's to put the numbers on the wires. You'll need to go to the parts store and get a tool to disconnet the fuel rails from the fule lines.
 
Leave the fuel rails attach to the intake and take the whole thing out as one unit. So yes go get the little plastic fuel line tool.

I was hopeing to lift it just enough to run the wires under it, is that not possible?,,,,,,I just tried that bolt again and its kicking my ass
 
Its is way easier to run the wires with the intake off of the truck.
