Place to test top speed?

I'm looking for a place..anywhere east of the Mississippi..where It's possible (and legal) to see just how fast I can go in my truck.

I don't know of anyplace around here (west PA) where that's possible. I'm thinking maybe an abandon airport / airfield...but is there any that will actually let you do something like that?

I don't really know how fast I've gotten my truck up to on the road. 115 maybe. And I was scared to death of someone pulling out in front of me, or gasp..a cop. I'd really like to legally and safely (relatively speaking) push my truck to top speed..at least once, with little or no risk of death, and absolutely no risk of cops.

Trust me, your truck is going to do a hell of a lot more than 115. Safety is the key though because after 150 she's going to feel real unstable, as if she's treading on ice. Good luck bro and please be careful.

They took a SRT 8 Charger, and put a 1968 Charger body on it's frame.

Got the best of two world. Old time look, and present day performance.

There is a member here named Bignana, that does speed competitions. I believe his are over a mile course, and they may be standing starts (not sure). It may not be your max speed, but it would be legal, safer, and alot faster than you have been so far.

I hear the street in front of Brat's house has the room too, however, I have no first hand experience.
