Plantar Fasciitis

ok guys : as for cortisone, throughout my wrestling days i had tried cortisone shots without much benefit to my body.

i do have the orthodic inserts which seemed to work for abit,i also have been buying new shoes every few months,i work outside on my feet most of the day so i dont have the luxury of taking it easy.

i will try exercises mentioned by my nemisis.

if anyone knows about a walking cast that can go up latters easily please let me know asap.

i do appreciate all the input from you guys,

thank you

Ya know, it's funny you mention this.... I was just at my local corner gas station, buying ice, a few minutes ago. The sweetest "little-old-lady" works in there at night. We always talk at the counter while she is ringing me up..... She has been having GREAT difficulty with her sciatic nerve for the last year or so. It was painful to watch her move sometimes. :(

Well tonight I am in there, and she is practically doing jumping-jacks! :D  She said she had a cortisone shot today and feels better than she has in 5 years. :) I'm happy for her.

Anyway... sorry to stomp the thread.... carry on. :bebored:

That's strange... I would think that going up and down ladders all day would be a great calf exercise. :dontknow:

Good point, but the rungs of the ladder constantly straining at one specific area may be simply exacerbating the problem since they aren't actually stretching so much as putting a strain on the plantar fascia..... It could actually be working against him....

Especially if he has round rungs as opposed to flat steps on his ladder.

Tim is correct...there is a huge difference to your feet...

Are the rungs flat steps or a round step from tubular material....?

Bro, these are all extreme sources of your persisting problem.... The tennis shoes have little or no support from the shock of those ladder rungs digging into your arches..... It's no wonder you have this problem...

If you actually are a really big man (as you said) over 350 lbs, considering the contributing factors it's no fking wonder you're having these issues....

You need a pair of boots with heavy steel shanks in the arches... for going up and down ladders.

i see ur point, like i said though with my boots the problem seemed to get worse, the tennis shoes(nike air jordans) are the best shoes for comfort on the job site, sometimes i have to jump off the ladder or the bobcat so i need something comfortable ,i might try a different pair of wolverine boots when i finish this job,i wont be doing any fence work this winter(atleast i hope not)

The toes aren't the issue bro...It's the arches.....

They put steel shanks under the inside of the boot soles between the balls and heels of the feet for support IN THE ARCH..... That's where you need support the most....

Steel toes don't help us here....

Looks like a really strong boot.......A guy your size will need the most support you can't get..... I do hope they work for ya.....

Maybe staying out of those sneakers is exactly the ticket ... along with some therapy and cortisone injections....

I really do hope you get some relief from this... I know how painful it can be....

Good luck, bro....
