Is anybody shaking their head in disbelief by this story? Similar to the Vick story. Its another episode of just plain "stupid"!!!! These morons have won the lottery per say and they just toss it all away with their stupid behavior. Is Plaxico so worried for his safety that he needs to carry a gun to "da club"? What a f#cking idiot!!! Then he obviously fails to engage the safety and shoots himself!!!!!:confused: WTF!! I hope they throw the book at him, jail time and all. He signs a what ...$35 million dollar contract and acts like a punk all season.

He is such a talented player yet is so stupid to realize he is also so lucky to be in the NFL getting paid so much money. He has no idea what its like to really "work" for a living or he would never have been so careless.

Vick won the award last year, now Plaxico has won it this year...........that would be the "dumbass of the year award"!

Yeah, he's a stone cold idiot. No 2 ways about that. Maybe he'll end up on the same team as Vick in the future and they can run the gangsta offense scheme.

This is the main reason I don't watch "Pro" sports. These athletes get paid HUGE amounts of money, after getting through college FOR FREE (in most cases).... Hell, I don't really even watch College sports anymore. The "incentives" these kids get from recruiters are almost as good as the "Pros". Their education suffers (if they get any at all) because they are just there to play for the college and get a free pass on anything academic. They break their leg, or get hurt, and all the sudden they are out of the game with nothing to fall back on (because they left college to "go pro" and don't have a degree). The leagues don't care, they get to renig on their huge contract..... and the athlete is SOL. Back to the ghetto they go.

It's a shame. Pro Hockey is about the only gladiator sport left with some sibilance of the players just "playing for the game" instead of the paycheck. I never got into hockey tho.
 
The sad part is, he won't get the same treatment as anyone off the street. He commited at least one felony, and yet I bet he doesn't do any time in jail. If that had been anyone of us, we would end up with at least 2 years in prison.

I dont know, It seems like the mayor wants to set an example with his stupid ass!What an idiot.If he is sooo worried about running into trouble,hire a couple body gaurds with all that freaking money he makes!On top of all that he F'ed up my fantasy league! Bastard!!!:p :p

I'm just wondering where all the folks are here that would defend him carrying at the club. I've heard some here go as far as to say that they carry in church and feel the need to. A NYC nightclub has got to be a lot more dangerous than your average church I would guess.
 
Larry Smith, Larry Johnson, PacMan Jones, Michael Vick, Allen Iverson, the list goes on ........... give them millions for playing a sport ......and the "street-thug" mentality just multiplies exponentially by the flagrant display of wealth. Kinda like telling the public they untouchable.....until the legal system brings them back down to earth.

Shaving off their dreadlocks and donning a 3-piece suit to go face the judge......f'kin embarassing.

Answer this question: At what point in your life do you decide that you can get away with wearing a warm-up suit with $100,000 worth of jewelery to a club and not be an object of some unwanted attention??? ....and then on top of that....carrying a gun. :argh: I don't know about some of you, butI can't even carry a cell phone in a jogging suit without being afraid of losing it ot falling out in my car.:slug:
 
Not to mention the fact that the team is more than happy to furnish security for them when they do go out.

I believe the word you're seeking is "semblance" which is actually a corrution of the word "resemblance".

If you're drinking or in a place that serves alcohol (bar/club/etc., not necessarily a restaurant) were idiots are overindulging and getting their beer muscles on then you should leave your burner in the car, or not go in at all if it bugs you that mich. Too much sword fighting, especially in the clubs, look @ some broad for half a second too long and super tough guy (and his friends of course) want to beat your head in...

I don't usually run into those types of people in church, and as far as carrying a gun in church is concerned, I'm concerned about some azzhole coming to crash the party, not a fellow church member going postal because someone bogarted the wine...

very true but people saying he should get the max is crap we have ALL broken the law at one point in our lives. And anyone that thinks prison reforms anyone is down right crazy
