Nice write up. I'm anxiously awaiting the arrival of the coupe version. I'm hoping they change it up a bit to look more like the Converj. I'm guessing the paddles will help with road courses though. Do you have to blip the throttle or lift when downshifting?

The calipers are big on the front but not tall...they are Brembo 4 wheel vented and slotted discs, 6 pistons in the front and 4 pistons in the rear.
Cleaning the calipers is tough...my hands are too big, so the wheels have to come off to clean the wheels and calipers.

The paddles up shift and down shift with any throttle position...no need to match engine and torque converter speed to down shift...but the paddles are pretty slow in my opinion...there seems to be about a half second delay between the command and the action...have to get used to it...

the 430 Scuderia shifts faster then you can blink. i think its .013 second.

Insightful question...it is my daily driver...the rubber that comes with it is good for extended 175 mph sprints...but not good at all in snow (so I have been reading). I am shopping for four snow tires, and some new 20 inch wheels. I will put snow tires on the current 19 inch oem rims, and have the new 20 inch wheels and lower profile tires in the spring.

Looks like the four snow tires will be Pirelli Winter 240 Sottozero

Front: 255/40R19
Rear: 285/35R19
Speed Rating “V” = 149mph (240kph)

Steve, the engine is not forged. That is the major difference between the LS9 (ZR1 Corvette) and the LSA engine. The sc on the LS9 also pumps 10 lbs of boost the LSA is only 8 lbs. The other difference is the tune.

But even with cast pistons and rods, it still has a 5 year, 100,000 mile warranty!
