I am working with a guy to make us stainless hose kits. It would be for the a/c, power steering, heater hoses etc. This guy doesnt do the cheap tin covered lines, but does custom hoses on vintage cars and hot rods. What i need to know is if anyone is interested in a kit? Dont know the price yet, but price comes down with the more people buying a kit. Again, this will not be a cheap covered hose kit, but will mount directly to the stock fittings in the truck. All ends will be crimped, and have the high-low pressure valves etc. and not have the hose clamps/plastic covers.

Now what i need, is a complete set of hoses to send to the guy for mock up. Does anyone here have a set? I know we have some members with blown motors etc that will not need their hose assemblies for a while. If you have a set, please PM me so i can get them to this guy. if you are interested in a set, please PM ME so i can let him know roughly how many we will be needing. He also keeps the designs on auto cad for future use.

I'd definately be interested if the price isn't out of this world. :) Very cool of you to even mention it though!!

well, keep in mind, it is a custom hose kit, but i dont think its going to be too bad....under a million $$ for sure...after talking to him, the normal cost is between $100-150 per hose. he said most cars/trucks end up being around $600-750, depending on how much hose, the type of fittings etc. i am hoping to get the price down to around $500 a set, but that will take more than 3 or 4 members wanting to do it. I just talked to one of the members who will be leaving their truck there for mock up, so hoses are handled...price is still up in the air. Unfortunately for me, the guy is not local to me, or it would be my truck being used:mad: and i will be talking to him, if enough of us want it, about becoming a vendor. He also can do a custom application if needed.

sounds cool man can he get them done in black? i think it would make the
bay look a lil bit cleaner rather than 'bling' :dontknow:
