Have 20,500 on the truck on original plugs. I have to remove the headers because the coating is coming off and was thinking it is about time to replace the plugs.

You guys think it is time or leave them in there awhile longer.

I am not forced induction, just a tune, CAI, and CatBack. So I was thinking of just using the stock plugs as replacements.

Thoughts??

Everyone will tell you something different when it comes to spark plugs, just go with your gut and if that doesn't help than go with your wallet :) I went from stock to NGK Iridiums and I haven't really noticed a difference, I guess because the stockers were still good. I think that the people who notice a big difference probably had some failing to begin with. The Iridiums should last longer than a regular plug, so you should take that into consideration. Also, it is a good idea to change our spark plugs more often than usual just because the Viper engine likes to be pampered, so every 20-30,000k seems to be the general consensus :D

i went with the Denso Iridiums. should be more life out of them.
also went with the Quality wires spark plug wires at the same time.
noticed a good difference & a solid 1 m.p.g. increase

Now there is my problem. If I take the intake manifold off I am liable to do something silly like get it ported, powder coated, change it out for DC Performance one. That is why I was just looking for the leave it alone or put the stock ones back in response. Damn you people...

You guys know how it is. Once you start taking shit off these things something has to be changed. I think it is a man rule or something. As my 2 yr old would say, "Viper Truck go vvrrrroooom!!!". Hopefully, not boom.

As for the beers the intake might end up getting bolted to the trans and 12 spark plugs might get used with bonus parts left over by the time everything is said and done :D :D :p

Kidding aside I was leaning toward the NGK's or Densos and was debating on changing the wires to the MSD's. My wife had a 2000 Celica with the NGK Iridiums and they looked like new after 100K, that impressed me. It runs good now now so I might just upgrade the plugs. As always thanks for the input.

Hope everyone has a fun weekend.

go with the Quality wires & summon up all the will power ya can & put the intake back on for now

you can always pull it back off to inspect the wires later, then do a little intake moddin
:burnout: :burnout: :burnout:

When you have the intake off instead of bolting it back on I would bolt on a Roe SC.:D :D :D
