plug gap-yes i searched dammit!!!!!

just spent several hours reading all threads and wanting to make sure. Don't want to call TOny up this early in the morning, probably at church anyway.

some threads say .035 for stock and add .010 (.045) for Tonys coils and wires. his site doesn't actually say anything about it either. no info with box of goodies.

i took out the Champions that were in there and i think they look like the originals from 05 (75K miles), plus they are gapped (or wore the electrode WAY down) between .047 - .050!!! Now Zilla still ran great but i'm wondering what she'll do with the new stuff. I know the computer can compensate for some things but thats still a huge difference in gap

oh yeah, the NGK's i have gapped at a very tight .033 out of the box, all of them, so much for quality control at NGK

Stock champions come gapped at .35 which is what is recommended. As they age, the engine will blow the gap out.

When I changed mine a few months ago, they were champions and that had been blown out to 40 range. Truck ran good as far as I was concern but it did run better at the stock .35 with the new plugs. I could feel more mid range pull.

Use Champion plugs again bud. Not the NGK but .033 isn't a bad gap at all. I stay between .032-.036 regardless of coils.

Don't have my old Haynes manual with the pic of plugs, can't tell if these are rusted or just lean/normal burn. I know the hex part is rusty
