Polishing my Intake

That is kick ass man. Your patients is paying off. I just refinished some old cast iron cookwear passed down from the great grandparents. Powertools are great.

Ive wondered if it is possible to cut the top of the intake plenum off, to allow direct access port and polish the inside. It would be easier to get to the runners. Then weld it back up. Retouch the polish on the outside welds. When you get it dipped the inside and outside would be smooth as chrome. Not trying to threadjack ya but if i had my intake out for this project, this is something i would consider.

I was thinking of that, but then you gotta be real careful that all the ports are flowmatched. For right this is good I just wanna finish this Fugger and put it on. When I swap it out for the one that's on the truck I might do it to that one.

Hell just cleaning up that rough ass flashing has to help. I looked inside mine and damn. It looks like 40 grit sandpaper.

Yeah, Its pretty rough in the throat of the intake I could image the rest. I might just get the flapper wheel, and take it down a bit.

Here is a teaser of the intake after 1000 grit wet sanding. I'm going to hit it with 2000 grit tonight and maybe do a little polishing to see how it looks.
