I just stumbled onto this and was wondering if some of the smarter guys around here could elaborate and what exactly this is really is meant for?

It is a directive by the President to the Executive, Judicial and Legislative Branches (and Indepednent Agencies) that requires and provides for development and implementation of a National Emergency Action Plan in the event of a National tragedy.

Okay, I tried but I had about enough. To me reading government documents is grueling and mind numbing with the massive use of commas and no periods in the equivalent space of a paragraph.

From what I gathered someone should just photoshop a Fidel Castro beard on Bush with his unconstitutional executive order criminalizing U.S. led war opposition or antiwar sentiment. I assume that protests are included.

We the people have literally no say. Our function has transformed into working so that we are taxed to death in order for our nation to remain the greatest in the world. I don't mind our nation's position BECAUSE of the working people, but the people within its government driving a failed system makes America look... grey from my perspective. Only my love for our nation keeps me moving forward. I'm sure our wonderful government officials bank on that.

The articles in the original post in this thread are just re-iterations of long-standing executive orders. It has long been thought that in event of a national tragedy FEMA would become the next Gov't, and there may be a little truth to that, but not to the extent that most have believed. These were re-written because of the inception of the Dept of Homeland Screwity, which FEMA and the Coast Guard fall under.

This is really not a Bush led initiative, it's been around for many, many years....
