So took the SRT-10 into my guy to check the rear end. Some of you may know that the last 2 times at the strip I was having issues with the truck and high speed handling. We first thought it might be the fifth stabilizer shock in the rear. I have QA1's on the four corners but the fifth shock is the original factory one. Well that checked out OK. Next we checked the sure grip differential....and what do you know.... the clutch pack appears to be shot! Spin one tire and you can hold the other one still....so I'm not getting any positraction action....this must be my problem. The differential clutch pack is the original one from 2004 (9 years, 67,000 miles and about 300 runs may have taken a toll.). I'll know more on Monday.

No word yet, I have tried to contact Greg Good several times, but no return phone calls.

I too had a wobble at the big end of the track and when I looked for a answer we took the carrier out and found a chunk of metal laying inside the housing..looked at the spider gears and the chunk of metal came from the spider gears..almost all of them had chips and knicks in em..put new spider gears in and my problem was solved!

I too once broke my spider gears, and replaced them (about 3 years ago) with "polished and chryoed " spider gears. We'll see how well they have held up when we open up the rear differential. When mine were broken I was losing about 20rwhp and about 2 mph in the 1/4 mile ( but no wobble). Right now I'm only down about 1 mph and .1 on ET.

Found out today the clutch pack is shot, ruined the carrier, ring and pinion along with the spider gears are OK.

is there at least a "better" clutch pack set up that can be used?????

Did the clutch pack spin inside the carrier? Don't suppose you could get some pictures up? I fear my carrier may be toast as well

My ring and pinion was shot when my clutch pack took a crap. That's why I went with 4.88's.

Yep, that's what happened, sorry but I don't know how to get pictures from my phone.....maybe I can have my son do it with his phone, we'll see in the next couple of days.

Sounds like its time to get a DTS, I talked with Mike @ DTS earlier today about one for myself. He's a great guy, give him a call. 1-877-874-7327
