Ali is driving the truck........ I know I know it's coming up on truck killing session, but we are hedging our bets that she doesn't do the same thing to silver truck as she did to the Beloved......... :D

Ok, my wife called me a said when she is driving down the road at 70 the truck will cut off, she said the air fuel thingy:p starts to blink and she has no power.

She says the oil pressure is high also. Says its around 75psi.

Anyone think what might cause this, i won't be able to put hands on it for another week or so. trying to get some advise post re-entry to the country.

Thanks y'all!:burnout: :burnout:

Oil pressue is good

fuel pump is bad

Looks like a new pump from Justin is in order!

Good deal I'll tell Ali that she broke my fuel pump and we have to buy a new one from Justin. ;)

Thanks Y'all.

I sure hope you get a second opinion, I know I'm right on the oil pressure, but I would at least verify the fuel pump is bad before spending money

Guys you had me at fuel pump.........:)

I don't know what it is if it is anything. But Ali told me to order the part. I need the pump anyways, and a new sock and filter will go in too.

I'll also check my wiring to the VEC. I can't wait to put the wiring back to stock and get the SCT in there.

She is restricting the truck to hay ride duty for the neighborhood halloween hayride this saturday.

Fuel issues could be the problem with my horsepower too...

I'll order the pump today, new spark plugs the same ones Eddie had in it. And put the new exhaust on.

Hit it from three sides.

The plugs i put in are the iradium 2 stage cooler plugs that bone recomends. Go back to the ones previous and see if i can get my mojo back:)

not enough info ike, really, seriously need more info before you go spending $

alot of things could cause it to jsut shut off, could be wiring of the vec, could be a short somewehre, the battery, fuel pump, tons of things bud

was it raining?
when it shuts down , is it a complete shut down, as in no power steering no engine running?

does it restart right back up?

does she have to limp to the side of the road?

does she hav to wait until it cools to restart?

Your right Tony.

I just want parts waiting for me when i get back to America.......:( I hate it when the truck is down. This could also be a fluke, a one day occurrence. But, i get ahead of the curve with good advice. I'll put a fuel filter in it, i've got the equipment to diagnose the engine both with gauges and with a PCMSCAN program on the computer. So fast and the furious!

I wired up the VEC good and tight with top of the line butt connectors.. Maybe a plug came loose. Reckon i ought to just wait tell i get home.... :(
She says it losses power and the air fuel gauge goes blank and the gauge swings to the right. Like when you give it gas and let out of it, goes rich.

I was not raining.

I should have specified better the it wasn't shutting down just loosing power. Once again, poor choice o words.. Must be the 2 months straight 18 hour days.....

Thanks guys.
