I find it quite annoying to try to read some of the posts here due to the posters apparent lack of knowledge of the rules of puncuation,sentence structure and the use of paragraphs.
On the other hand,the use of seldom used words with obscure meanings do little to help with effective communication.If very few people know the meaning,are we really communicating ?
And finally...the worst vice is ADVICE that was not asked for.Meaning we waste a lot of time correcting each other on spelling.If you understood what the poster was trying to say,then it matters little how it was spelled.Who was it that once said something about it being a shame to only know one way to spell a word?
I have received an e-mail several times that had every word deliberately mis-spelled.It was proven that as long as the first letter and last letter were correct,most people could understand what was being written,no matter how jumbled the letters were in between.
Kinda taking both sides here,I know,but just my opinion.




And why do my posts not show the indentations when posted like they do when I type them ?:dontknow:

The reason that your indentations don't work is because of the code for the forum. Most are like this too. The code only recognizes one space at a time. If you hit the space bar twice, when you post, it will only show one space. This is by design to keep all posts uniform, and to save "white space" on the boards.

There are ways around the single space issue though. One way is to use a period to fill the space. So if I want more than one space between here . . .and here, I have to use the periods. There is also a series of characters that you can type in to create a space, but I will let Patrick chime in on whether that is ok or not. :D:D
