This maybe a stupid question or a bad idea, but would it hurt anything if I had my block powdercoated? I wasn't sure if it would hold in heat or anything?

I've done this once and seen it done many times and it really looks killer. If you have the time and inclination you should grind some of the worst rough spots down first and be sure who ever does the powedercoating masks off the machined surfaces and bolt holes...if I was gonna do it, I'd send it to Justin, he's the only one I've seen that could meet my expectations with respect to quality and attention to detail.
 
the only thing i would be worried about is over heating, i have herd many racers talking about painting certain parts like intake manifold bottoms white to reflect heat. i would think it will make a difference on the block with it being painted.


but it would look good

I knew I hadn't seen one done, but I think it will look killer. Do you realy think it would cost too much??
