I'm thinking of powdercoating my wheels.Could someone tell me when
it's done do the rims tend to scratch easily. Also after powdercoating did
you get them clear coated.I found a reputable place to powdercoat and
he charges $100.00 per wheel.Any info would help.I'm thinking of getting
them done in black to go on silver truck...He also told matte or glossy
which should i chose...Thanks :)

I had mine done for $300 total, no clearcoat. I got black and they have not scratched yet. I can tell you like most things black, they look great clean but get dirty quick.

Make sure you call around for powder coating. I am not saying go with the cheapest guy at all... If you know this guys reputable it would probably be worth the extra $$ to not have to worry too much.

Also consider turn around time. I did not have another vehicle to drive. I worked with the powdercoater to drop the rims off on the day he was doing my color.

Powder coating is the only way to go, no brake dust hahaha. No they wont scratch the powder if applied properly is very tuff. I would highly recommend it.
