My OEM calipers are really getting faded.. They're almost pink. And "bumpy".. I would love to have a set of OEM calipers sanded with a high gloss red powdercoat. I know Justin's powdercoater can do this and it's fairly labor intensive but I would be willing to pay for it.
I use my truck as a daily driver and can't pull my calipers and wait weeks to have them done. I want a core "exchange" service just like Justin has for the valve covers and intake manifold...
 
That would be nice:) ....but i cleaned mine up real well then painted them with a quailty caliper paint kit which has "self leveling paint" and the came out perfect!:rock:

PIX?????? :D Did you sand them??? Did you paint them while they were on the truck and just tape everything off??
 
Hey portlandsrt,I feel your pain,same here exactly as you discribed,mine are coming off this weekend to have a manacure done on them!

No sanding...the kit came with a cleaner which worked very well, then taped off a few things and brushed it on. Like i said, the paint levels itself. At first it seems like its going to look like ass, but when it dries it looks great, better than new thats for sure.:p and the paint has ceramic in it so it is heat resistant and wont crack.

i used the same kit (got it at auto zone) still look great and painted them while on the truck.

good idea,one can will probably do 3 trucks.
 
Yes it can do several vehicles....i gave my extra to my buddy who did his new beemer AND his bro's SRT8 Jeep.
 
Justin at JMB can do them, if you wanted a more pro look, he does it but has stated that it is very tim consuming

I know Justin can do them,, but he doesn't have an exchange system in place for the calipers...
I'm going to give the Duplicolor "paintbrush & sandpaper" method a shot.. I'm kind of a perfectionist,,, so if I'm not happy with it, I'll try something else.
 
yes mine are turn pink, however i used that kit and painted the front black & rear red. I just did not want to pay what justin was asking for it, when i could have it done in house. but yes that kit does work i will paste some pictures. and let you see
 
That vendor on EBay could get in trouble.... $245 item and $945 shipping :)

I have also used self leveling paint on calipers, although from The Eastwood Company, but had the same results.
 
Welp... I know what I'll be doing when I get back to the states... I'm gonna do both my SRT's. I just watched the e-learning demo video on the Duplicolor site. One would have to be a retarded dork to get it wrong.... :dontknow: ummmmm, so wish me luck.:D
