Powdercoating pulleys

Has anyone tried powdercoating their pulleys? Looking for a few more ways to pretty things up under the hood, was thinking color matched pulleys would look sharp, but was also worried it would affect tension, or cause problems. Anyone tried this?

I have done it with a few. I powder coated them and then taped off everything except the ribbed area and bead blasted it to give it a rougher texture.

My first thought was belt slippage but this sounds like it would work great.
