power steering again

Ok I had my belt and power steering pump replaced last month and have put about 900 miles on it. Its squeeling again any ideas.:dontknow:

Im wondering if something is wrong with my steering.. A couple of times now, when I start it and go to pull out of the drive-way, the power steering is not working and it takes maybe 30 seconds to kick in. Maybe this is normal for these trucks or just the fluid is low???

Your pump is going bad.....

Mine did the same thing...bad pump...no squeal

Good to know! Mine is still under warranty till December so I probably need to get it in there soon.

Mine would do that but only when it either just rained or was very misty.

had same problem. had belt and pump replaced no change. mine only squeals when turning left thoug, but mine also will make the horrible sound if it has rained. i guess just water coming through the hood scoop. it goes away after 30 or so seconds. never have found a solution to the turning left squeal. so if you figure it out let me know asap

Yeah, mine does that too, it will build your arms up in a hurry.

Interesting! The first time it did it, it was raining out and the second time it did it was when I moved it during an intense wash/detail.. Could it be from the belt getting wet and it takes 30 seconds to dry it up and start grabbing? I have not experienced any squeel.

steelership say the belt must have stretched and are ordering a new one

try belt dressing, it goes on clear. you can get it at your local hardware store...
