Power steering leaking

So got home and the power steering fluid is everywhere.

Looked at it and think the problem is the line going in/out of the pump.
I dont think it should be as loose as it is..?

You can also see a little oil sweating around it.

Be happy to get you our steel braided lines with AN fittings.

Like you got small metal chips scattered everywhere. Don't look good. The complete aftermarket kit will be cheaper then that one hose. Check that thing out good on the inside for contamination. Whatever you do don't run the pump dry.

Its not metal, its some bondo stuff i put on to hold the leak.

JB Weld it, you'll never have to worry about it leaking ever again

I welded the stock fitting to a 6AN and bought braided line from summit and no more leaks. I have tried 2 different vendors and still got leaks. But I'm not running the stock Hyd fan, JMB electric fan. No issues so far.

Still leaking.
Cant see where its from, but it drips from underneath the pump.

It is the pump itself thats bad or can it be the tank?
How do i take off the tank?

When idle it doesn't leak, take a drive and it drains pretty fast.

When its idleand i look in the tank i see it circulating and its foaming.
My thoughts is that it drawing air from a leak.

Is it a seal between the tank and pump that can be replaced?

Likely coming from the fitting you just installed into the pump itself. Torn Oring

To take off the tank you have to remove the pump from the engine. The foaming is a sign of two issues, over serviced and air in the system. The fitting that goes in to the pump is tough to install as you have to fight the spring pressure in the pump. Like Scott noted, it is possible the o-ring was damaged at install.

Dealership here in europe are way to expensive on these parts so i need something from the us

Brazing them makes a much "prettier" weld. We do weird stuff like this at work all the time and have a welder that I think came from the Blacksmith days, he can fuse fittings like this together and make it look like it came that way.

Got a shop to replace it.
Picked it up and it whines like hell, they say they couldn't get the fitting of the new pump to replace with jtsvp fitting for the new ps lines.
So they gutted the new pump and transferred it over to the old housing.

Im no mechanic so talked to jtsvp and apparently you can't gut the ps pump.
The shop that took the job is suppose to be experts on us cars..

So now i need another new pump

Don't be so quick to throw shop under the bus... That fitting isn't the greatest... I have the bill for a power steering pump as well as a rebuilt rack because of that fucking fitting...
