Power steering pump

Truck started making funny hydraulic noise last week, checked resevoir was bone dry. I filled it up and a week later same thing.No fluid in driveway , must be a leak somewhere hose or pump.anyone ever change their pump?

Leaking Hoses, Stinker has the cure... His Lifetime Oil Lines going on first of the month at oil change....

Its a closed system. HP line on top of the pump uses a quick disconnect/connect fitting that is garbage. Next place to look for a leak is down at the steering rack. Not uncommon for seals to go bad there as well. As for replacing the pump....pretty straight forward.

I'm on pump #3 and I blew the line off of mine last week. I will be upgrading to stinkers line shortly.
