I have some power steering hoses ordered from JTS. I have searched the Dodge service manual and also the web and have not been able to find the proper procedure of bleeding the air out of the power steering system. Concerned about issues with the cooling fan.

Can anyone point me in the right direction please?

THX

When I replaced my HP line I just filled it, let run and topped it off. When I replaced my steering rack I just filled it, let run and topped it off. I'm now about due for fluid replacement. I'll drain it, fill it, let run and top it off.

No special procedure really. I turn wheels full left to right many times, then check reservoir. Repeat then shut hood.

When the power steering lines start to go (leak) where does the leak usually start? Not sure if the ones on this truck have been replaced but it is at 70k now, so I just want to know where to check.

Thanks for the replies. Just making sure there's no issues.

To bleed the air out slightly loosen the upper line on the ps rack till it starts seeping with the engine running
When the bubbles stop comming out tighten fitting up work the steering side to side look for leaks

My stock line coming out of the pump was seeping at the crimp between the rubber hose & metal pipe. A supposed tech Tryed to remove the metal line from the fitting on the pump. Then it pissed fluid out non stop.
