Are there any preferable alternatives to the Pace Edwards power tailgate lock?

Their is or was a few years ago, one by Pop n' Lock. You can also get a replacement tailgate handle w/a manual key lock in it.

Yep I installed the power pop n lock system on my tailgate. It seems pretty tough and was an easy install. Clear instructions on how to find the proper wires to tap into by the lower drivers a-pillar. And mine functions great with my Viper alarm system.

I have the pop n lock power tailgate lock and works great with my compustar alarm.

Yes, it wires into the power door locks. They also have ones that are manual with a seperate key.

I have a Bully lock and key. Works fine.
