Agreed Tim. I hope to meet Bill and Alex some day. They are both good people in my book.
 
Thanks for the continued updates Bill... glad the surgery went without incident. I am sure Dawn filled Alex in on the "little things" that make a post operative recovery...easier. :nurse: Spare pillow to "brace" when a cough or a sneeze is "on the brink"... plastic on the seat for the ride home (makes sliding in out of the vehicle much easier...ect.:dontknow: ;) :D

I'm glad she got through surgery OK...I had flowers sent from the hospital gift shop, please let me know if she got them.

OK here is what we know at this point. The doctor visited her at 8:00 PM tonight and said she is doing very well. He plans on seeing her again tomorrow afternoon, at which time he plans on sending her home.

Alex's dad spends the day with her at the hospital, and I go there and stay with her until she is asleep for the night. Hopefully this was her last night there.

My mom is flying in from Florida tomorrow afternoon to help take care of Alex. We are getting a lot of help with this, and really makes things easier.

Dawn and Kenny, Alex and I want to thank you for the flowers, they really put a smile on her face. That is the first smile since she went to the hospital.

I want to thank everyone here for their thoughts and prayers, it cheers Alex up to know people really care about her. Thank you all so much.

I will post more, when we find out more.

Thanks for the progress report! It will be nice to hear about her getting home!

She will feel a lot better once she gets home and into her own bed. Not gettin' woke up by those damn nurses asking if she wants a sleeping pill:nurse: That's great your mom is coming to help...and a little less worry for you while you are at work. If you have any questions when she gets home, don't hesitate to call us. I'm not one to call when someone is sick for fear of disrupting sleep. Take care of you both, you are still in the prayer loop!

Turtle is home!:rock: She is still in a lot of pain, but I know she will feel better sleeping in her own bed.

I am going to get her because she was to catch up on this thread. BRB

Hello everyone - it's Alex! I did not have enough energy to log out and then log back in with my name.

It's nice to finally be home!! No more nurses waking me up every 4 hours to poke me!!! Damn nurses!!! :p (sorry Dawn)

Still in a lot of pain, but that should go away soon. It truly means a lot to know that so many were concerned and cared!!! Thank you all very very much!!

Now onto the road to recovery :D I probably won't be staying up much longer since I took a pain pill not to long ago.

Again, thank you all so much!!!
