Im adopting my mother-in-law. Shes single, lives by herself, has really poor health after a triple bypass, knee replacment, diabetes, and depression. She works full time when she should be on disability. No one is there to take care of her, so im taking her in. She has no retirement, no insurance, and cannot work. At any rate, i was figuring expense increase.
Price checked a month supply of 13 medications at list price with no insurance, at CVS, Walgreens, RiteAid, Walmart, Safeway, Giant.
Cheapest to most expensive
Walgreens $1271
Walmart $1277
RiteAid $1455
Giant $1649
Safeway $1697
CVS $1698
I go to CVS first for everything when couponing. There sales are unbelievable! Walgreens has the worse sales. Looks like CVS overcharges for prescriptions to cover there sales, and walgreens does the opposite. Grocery stores being the worse. They charge alot for prescriptions for profit to offset cost of meats and produce.
Use this information how you please.... it took me 6 hours to compile it.
