This thread is going to be without bias opinion , just straight forward.

review
The system is very well thought out, all the welds seem strong and the connections good.

Gives a great appearance with the turbos mounted high.

Silicone adapters, and good quality clamps.

HUGE air to air intercooler

Changes?

Would definitly upgrade to ball bearing turbos

would upgrade to tial wastegates

go with the black coating ,though not as appealing

Bad things.

Coating is burning off allready(I have the silver)

Dont particularly like the postition of the wastegate on drivers side

Things needed
Boost controller,electronic prefered

upgrade injectors at least 60 lbs

fuel management, vec, AEM, split second, flash

fuel system, better pump, or complete system

Strongly urge at least forged pistons

also air breather catch cans

opinion
Overall I like the system and do think it will be capable of alot of power, with it running out of fuel and with the tune it had on about 7 lbs it was making 650rwhp, but I think it could make much more on 7lbs.It should make close to that on 5 lbs.

Driving impressions
When not under boost you really couldnt tell what it was capable of , basically felt like a stock truck. When the boost came on it was a sudden rush of power, breakin loose the tires in first thru third. but not in a cloud of smoke, but actually spinning and accelerating at the same time. It climbed thru the gears so fast that you really had a hard time getting used to shifting. the accerleration was incredible.

At $9200 for the twin and $5200 I t hink for the single its an awesome deal, and do think the single kit would be the one to go with. It looks great with the single on the side, plus comes with mid pipes. And personally think the single would make some serious power with a t 76 ball bearing turbo. Someone step up and try the single kit, I dont think you will be dissapointed at all. Forget all my troubles, I was a one off deal that went bad. The kit is good and will make great power.

Anyone interested I would contact Steve Austin , he will go way out of his way to make sure you're happy, I say this because he stepped up to offer to help me.

So for a single turbo setup:
A) do you require modification of both exhaust manifolds to go into the single turbo?
B) The price is $5100 plus labor?
C) Is this different from the system installed by Hennessey?

I am glad your truck is working (after so much down time). Will you go through the additional steps in maximizing the power of the twins? That would probably be an additional 20 grand me thinks. Also what about internal parts (Cam, pistons, rods, rockers, etc.), are those necessary upgrades in the future as well? Thanks.

The single uses stock manifolds, but I think you could use shorty headers if you wanted,.

The price is jsut for the kit and turbo and plumbing, the labor and installer will be left up to you.

Much different from hennessy, he puts his turbos low and beside the engine ,but other than that its the same deal

I got my kit with t-67 turbos and i think the kit comes with t-44's but they are stilll very capable.

I allready have oliver rods, weisco pistons, custom cam grind, so bottom end is set, my heads are only thing left to go, which will be later on.

Forged pistons are around $1800 or so I think and would be a great addition plus piece of mind.

I'll post some pics in a little while of both.

now stinker...correct me if Im wrong, but dont you HATE pro turbo with a passion?? (or hated at one time?) or did they do you right again??

Stinker that is very non-biased of you. You really show who is the bigger man. Again you show you are a very honest man.:congrats:

Bill.

thanks for the compliment Begood,(you're makin me blush honey:D ) and yes Patrick I do, I just dont want anyone else to possibly miss out on what could be a great mod.

I think with the $ figure of the single kit, which they should have in stock, a person could have a kick ass turbo kit capable of over 1000hp(notice I said capable)

It want be as cheap $wise as the STS but should be on par with the Paxton. with some upgrades and possibly make more hp or on even at least, depends on the tuner.

Youre more of a man than me Tony......Forgive and forget I guess....I just hate LIARS! If he stepped up and saaid, hey T, I blew up your truck, it was an accident, Im sorry...etc Yeah! But the way it was handled Sucked! More power to ya man!

Hey Stinker, my engine went back in yesterday, transmission going back in today and PTK kit coming on soon :) Hopefully I will have some #'s soon.

cool beans sprite! I know you have the forged bottom end, but did you do anything with the heads? Or is yours like mine, stock heads, forged bottom? I gotta call underground to see when they can get to my fuel system, did you go with in or out of tank?

Good luck bro, cant wait till she's done and I knwo you cant wait either, the little bit I did drive it , it was totally awesome, get ready for some REAL fast shifting!:D

And please guys lets dont make this a thread about what happened with my deal, lets make this one about the system , but I do thank ya'll for the support.:D

Don't got to worry about shifting, I got the QC :) I kept the stock heads but got forged rods and pistons.

For fuel I got upgraded fuel pump, injectors, reworked rails, regulator, valve, etc.

What are the HP projections on the single kit???Anyone know? I know they were talkin about a single 101mm kit that was supposed to scream! That would be cool......

Interesting to see this post. But some questions first. Why would you change to Tial gates? Its a lesser gate then the turbosmarts and flow less as well. Also I see you mention going T76 on the single kit. But the kit is a T6 flange so T76 won't bolt on. As for 101mm turbo......that is alot of turbo for a street truck, unless you plan to go racing and nothing more.

A few pics of the single , the mids, and the twins.

The twin kit looks good indeed. At least its not another T3/T4 system.

To answer your question on the wastegates , you cannot get the parts as easy for them as you can the tial. The turbosmart gates are from the UK and just dont have the back ground the tial has. If they was so much better than tial, then hennessy, heffner, underground, lingerfelt, and others would use them. but then again its my opinion, but I needed some springs and had to look far and wide and found some in conneticut or some upstate place and had to have them overnighted. the tial you can call almost anyone and find the parts.

Hey stinker the exhaust gates on the block, can they be ported, made bigger, or polished/grinded/smoothed? I am wondering if this will contribute to better exhaust flow out of the block, which would in turn spool up the turbos faster. Just a random thought. Thanks

you talking about the exhaust ports on the heads?

If so yes, but if ya go that far , might as well do the intake also.

I plan on going with the stryker heads and jessel set up, Blake had a stock set of heads ported that flowed 290cfm and then checked his stryker's and they flowed 320cfm.

Also going with the ball bearing turbos would help also, and last longer too.

But is that what you are talkin about, the exhaust on the heads?
