Problem with throttle sticking on Roe TB... Help...

I am having problems here and there with the truck staying revved up at lights because the throttle body isnt closing... HELP:dontknow: :dontknow:

Take the throttle body back off make sure you have No burs in it any where. Also use a peice of paper to center the butterflies. Some say to take steel wool and clean the inside. I just re centered mine and it has been fine ever since. Good luck

make sure you wound the spring proplerly during reinstall, other than that if you cant get it to center properly, you may need to lightly sand the butterfly a little.

but like mark says, you want a piece of paper to be able to slide all the way around it.

I had a similar problem with mine after installing the Roe TB but it wound up not being a throttle body problem. From moving the cable around on installation it apparently wound up in a periodic slight bind. I moved it around to where it looked to have the least stress from tight curves and haven't had a problem since.

What makes you think that the TB is sticking? You may be suffering from a TPS issue, rather than a mechanical one.

Do a quickie search on it. There is plenty known about this issue.

I did a search and that sounds like it may be to problem. Mine was doing alot of the things that people were complaining about with a TPS sensor. I sold my OEM TB with the sensor o it when I got my used ROE that had a sensor on it already..... And I just got a CEL so we'll see....

i also STILL have that problem, but mine is a X-metal.
took it to DC and they replace a part (don't recall what the name is) and it worked fine for about 2 miles and then back to it's regular problem...mine stay's to 3000 rpm. ???
but i give it a little rev and it clears up? still want it right.
