It a nice problem, but damn this is getting ridiculous. As you all know I just recently re-installed my old Stage 2 flashed PCM, and have mentioned the new found low to mid range power. The problem is that even with the caltracs I still hear the asphat screaming for mercy. :burnout: :D

My question is has anyone tried torqueing down the caltrac's more than the 1/4 turn for more bite?

i think prof has his @ 2.5 turns, maybe he chime in...... i've got mine more than the .25 turns & it does make a difference....... it will raise the rear of the truck if you turn too much.....

The rear of the truck needs to be looser so it can squat, until you acheive that. you can crank the caltracs till the front tires come off the ground and you still want get traction:D :burnout:

So what you're saying is I need to compresses quickly, but rebounds slowly. ALA... QA1's

I have mine at 1.5 turns, works pretty good but there is no good way to fix the problem except finding the sweet spot for traction/power ;)

Mine is also set for 1/4 turn preload. these were the settings given by Keith At Caltracs:dontknow:

sorta, the springs on the RC are way too stiff, a couple solutions, one , take a couple leafs out of the spring pack, two, get a set of QC springs, three, I am working on a four link with air bags and doing away with the springs all together

this might not help but I took out 2 leaf springs and cranked them down about 2 turns and in first I still had to feather the throttle but in second iit was all hook and go

Stick after you took of the 2 leaf springs how did the suspension feel while driving on the street? Also what shocks were you using the stock or some aftermarket?

I think I going to try this next week.
