Hey i have a 06 qc .Yesterday i was backing in my driveway and when i shut the truck off it was stuck in reverse i still could take the key out but truck was stuck in reverse i had to keep messing with it i till the shifter moved to neutrel so i could start it then i put it back in park but it showed neutrel and i had to messwith it again then it went in park so i took it for a drive it shifted fine and came home and it went right back in park and has since been fine ...... any info on this or has anbody ever herd of this ..thanks Rocky

The only thing I can think of is the shifter cable needs adjusting.

Yes mine does the same thing once in a while. Reason is when u put in P it actually "clicks" into a spot to register as park even though the truck may be parked. Watch next time hold your foot on the brake an put it in P, sometimes it won't register even though it's parked, but as soon as u let ur foot
off the brake there is a slight roll tag allows the P to rigister on the dash.

Thats what i was thinking .It dont sound like the trans ... When it shifts do they always jump like when you floor it you feel it shoot to the next gear but it dosent bang or hesitate is that normal ...

Oh ok good.. i was like i just bought this thing dont tell me it has problems ..

Yes. My truck actually has a bounce when it shifts meaning the hard shifts make my truck feel like it's bouncing. The hard shifts in qc is normal, it means you have good pressure build up between shifts in your tranny!!

Sounds like your PRNDL switch may be going bad. Also if you have headers, be sure cable is not getting too hot. I wrapped mine with header wrap.

so many problems short run model dodge should go back to school.
I agree...a specially designed tranny for both auto and manual should have been engineered for these trucks...more so the qc auto which is adapted from the crappy ass diesel tranny. By far the biggest downfall of this truck
