MY TRUCK SET AT 25 PSI @ IDLE AND THE MOTOR SOUND LIKE IF IT WERE A DIESEL.... IS THAT NORMAL OR IT'S SOMTHING WRONG???

IT'A 2006 QC.... WITH 3900 MILES.

THANKS.

Are you talking about oil pressure? It will be low at Idle if that is what you are talking about. What happened when you added some gas?

Probably normal, Oil pressure drops dramatically at idle and the engines are noisy!! Specially when you are at a drive through!!

Agreed. Oil pressure at idle is low. 25 is just fine. I think the manual says somewhere around 15 at idle. Not sure. And the valve train is very noisy. Especially where the sound can reverberate against something. So no worries mate!

That my friend could be the injectors or valves which is totally normal. Get a set of headers, mids and cat-back. You won't hear it as much...

Mine is so loud I have to turn it off at the drive through to place my order.

ALLRIGHT GUYS... THANKS.. I THOUGH IT WAS SOMTHING WRONG WITH MY TRUCK....

I JUST CAME BACK FROM THE STEALER SHIP AND THEY DID THE OIL CHANGE FOR FREE.... THE GUY SAID ...NEXT TIME IT MAY COST ME AROUND $100:eek:

I ALSO ASK 1 GUY ABOUT IF CHRISLER IT'S GOING TO STOP MAKING THE SRT 10.... HE SAID.... NO I JUST ASK MY MANAGER FEW MINUTES AGO AND HE SAID THAT THEY WILL STILL MAKING THEM... :dontknow:

You're YELLING again.:argh:

Yeah, 8.5 quarts of Syn ain't cheap. You can do it yourself for half the price, then buy yourself a fumoto valve and a case of beer.

What!!!! 25 psi? I dont know guys but i always thought 35-45 psi was were oil pressure should be. i got my truck at 13k and pressure then was 50ps @ idle 75 nder load. I can imagine your truck being noisey, i dont think thats enough pressure for the lifters. Also just a lil fyi, dont know if this neccesarily good but on my last oil change i put in castrol 10-60w (same oil we use in m3 and m5 motors) and this put oil pressure at 75 psi all the time even when i get it hot. also, i did notice that the "ticking" did quiet down a bit.

Yep,I get the oil @ Walmart for $20.83 for 8.5 quarts ,the filter for $4.00 from the dealership and my buddies shop does the labor ,tops off all fluids and checks the tires for $10.00.Out the door for under $40.00.Can`t beat it.

WTF? How is such a wide range oil not commercially available? Where did you get that weight?

Maybe cause its expensive and most of the general public wont buy it, like i said it's the only thing we use on the bmw motorsport engines and these cars usually go 7-10k on oil change. Since its really thick i thought it be a good oil for the 90-100 deg temps this summer along with my driving. If you want use some for your next oil change let me know. I get the oil at a discount.

Fo sho, thanks dude.

Also I'm thinking of using that Lucas oil Synthetic stuff, a couple of quarts shouldn't hurt, I think.

Whe else makes filters for the Viper V-10? I couldn't find it in the Fram catalog.

ph-16 is the filter that we use, however i only like to use the factory mopar filter. red007 should do an evaluation on the two. Provide like the filtration specs or somethin to see which is really better.

WHENEVER A ADD SOME GAS IT GOES TO 55 O 65 PSI... BUT WHEN THE ENGINE IT'S COLD IT GOES TO 75 PSI.....
