How hard would it be to fab a bracket to mount a procharger for another vehicle on our trucks. Me and my buddy were discussing it; wonderin if it could be an option. Has anyone tried it? would it work?
I know paxton is done the same way but i am just bored and curious...

any input would be helpful.....

hmmm.... i still wonder if a procharger for a v8 with a custom bracket would do the trick......:dontknow: :dontknow:

They don't make a kit for my Car either, the hot rod shop I deal with adapted

a plate from another application to make it work.

but would one move enuff cfm's for an 8.3l v-10??

They make different head units that will accomodate any size engine.

This seems very doable to me. I would just check and see what cfm's the procharger is putting out and what's it's limit. Buiding the bracket for the motor shouldn't be all that difficult.

F1-R is what the Viper guys are running on theirs. 1000HP is easily attainable with it. For $700-ish Procharger will ship you a mock-up unit that you can use to fab your own brackets. Then send it back for credit or they will send you the rest of the parts to make the mock-up unit work.

Its very doable, but with quite a bit of fabrication IMO since the headunit is different from the paxton (i.e. the belt drive and air p/u & output). The headunit will probably need to be installed on the driver's side in the engine bay do to its design, and as well all know there is quite a bit of things that need to be relocated from that side of the engine bay. But definetly doable all you need is time, money, and some patients wouldn't be bad either.

I would mount it on the passenger side just like the Paxton. I know mine is just a 360 but your setup would look the same. I wish I could find the company that put them on Vipers.....

got an f1r on my truck sits on the pass side. custom brkts. cog belt right off the crank. but have blown 3 mtrs. waiting on the 4th now.

How much power do you want to make? I wouldnt hesitate at all to put an F2 on and make BIG power. The only thing to think about is that you may be able to just do a turbo setup for the same price by the time you do all the custom work to mount the blower.
