I'm going to be in Oceanside/San Marcos next week. Is your truck at RPM right now? If it is I think I am going to drop in there to check it out if you don't mind.

It is at Richard's (Richard's Performance Muffler) in Vista. Go by and check it out. If you have time, I can drive up there.
I would love to meet you personally.

There is truth in that, depending on what has been done to the block and the paripherals. Kevin from Exotic Engine Development has done a tremendous amount of work to the block with sleves, main caps, main cap girdle, ect.

If you look at the attached picture it shows one side of a front motor mounting plate, that attaches to the frame. We have also mid plated between the transmission and the block. This mounts the block to the frame at all 4 corners and does not use the stock motor mounts. This was all custom fabricated and machined for this truck and motor.

This will hopefully keep the block from twisting so much.

There is also a much bigger motor on the drawing board...................:afraid:

I think what we have now will allow us to make lots of HP, 1500++ and keep it alive. But it's a hotrod so knowbody knows untill it's burning 118..

Gary, the stainles collectors and tubing came from SPD, Specialty Design Products in Rancho Cordoba. They make really high quality products on a par with Burns.
Richard had the collectors/flanges made to order. Richard designed and made the header tubes so they enter into the collectors in a rotational pattern matching the engine firing order.

Richard is a very crafty guy...................

This project might not have been possible without him. He does things the right/correct way. Richard is a good friend as well as a vendor here. I can't say enough good things about him and the men he has on staff.

Boy wonder, it only has to run for 8 seconds so we don't need no stinkin radiator hoses........LOL LOL...........:) .........:)

That is the way it looks in the picturs but there is really plenty of room for the radiator hose. If we need something special configured, Richard or JMB Justin can whoop something up. That is minor on the list of things we have had to do to get this thing together. If I knew at the beginning how much time and money this was going to be, I would be driving it around with a blower and a smile..........:D

Naw, I would do it again, why beacuse I can. Its fun being the project manager and designer on something like this build. Learned a lot, used a lot of information I knew, and am still learning. Building hotrods is fun......

Looks Nasty Jack!

Those 'Turbo Pipes' look like sewer pipes!!!! :adore:

I was going to make a crack about the dirty valve covers until John said it was a dummy motor, so I'll just STFU now.:D Can't wait for video of that monster!!

All this Motor talk makes me sick....... the motors in these trucks are used to clean the windshield, roll the windows up and down and lock the doors...... The prime mover is called a Engine!!!!!!!!!!!!

man that is some beautiful work, any chance youll post a price list?

After all of the mods, Jack is probably pushing past $175,000 on this build. I doubt that he will want to document the full costs...but if he does it will be the template for Stage 9 builds.
