My wife and I saw a prowler in the parking lot of a local restaurant and we stopped to take a look. We are thinking pretty hard about getting one to replace her 05 chrysler sebring limited. Her only complaint would be trunk space but i would get her the matching trailer for road trips if need be. Can i get your opinions on this vehicle as a daily driver? We know nothing about them. Pros and cons let me have them.

My mother owns a Prowler. Looks great, but not really practical as a daily driver. I drove it, and loved the way it handled, but impossible to see to the rear if you are backing up. Would imagine it would be worse with a trailer. I think she should test drive one (and try to back out of a parking space) before taking the leap. Good luck

I tried to sit in one once, very cramped inside. There is no -way anyone over 6 ft that isn't rail thin would be comfortable. Plus they are pretty badly under-powered with just a V6-Auto.

underpowered is safe for my wife. She has one hell of a lead foot. The cramped i see would be a big problem. You say backing out is difficult? What is it hard to see where your front tires are over the long hood?

I was referering to the back window. I am about 5'6 and I couldn't see squat out behind the car. Maybe a tall person can, I dunno:dontknow:

We had one for 2-3 years and loved, but visibility was an issue. I'm 6' 3" 240 and had no issue driving it at all. A lot of folks think they are way under powered, but with a Borla exhaust and an aftermarket air intake it will definitely get out of it's own way better than 99% of cars out there. I would not suggest it as a daily driver though because of the poor visibilty with the top up.

v6 = ghey

stuff a v8 and limited slip and now were talking!!!

I had one for about 3 or 4 years, only put about 6-7K miles on it, but it was a very fun weekend car. For a daily driver though... not sure I would want to drive it everyday. As others mentioned, with the top up its hard to see just about everywhere around you, only park backing up (the nose will get scraped if you don't) and its a pretty rough ride (didn't bother me, but it may bother your wife). Gets more looks than just about any other car on the road though!

I test drove several.For me ,at 6'2" and 275 (at that time) it was cramped and uncomfortable.With the top up visiblity is definitely an issue.Takes a LOT of getting used to the front end and gauging distance from the car to objects.Hard for me to get in and out,too.

Great looking,but I wouldn't drive one if you gave it to me.
