Hey Guys,

I know this has been discussed over and over again. But I did a search
on plugs and there is no clear details as to how to pull the #9 plug on
our trucks. Any suggestions that is easy...without having to pull the fender
well off....but possibly able to get to from the top....its pretty far back in
there and kindof hard to get a grip with fingers or pliers. All help is appreciated...Thanks

Tony

I think you'll quickly find that pulling the fender well is far easier than ever trying to reach around it. It's just about 5 screws and a plastic rivet to pop one right out. I did it at 30k to address some oil cooler issues and I still wonder why I never considered it before.:dontknow: :p

Ditto, it's pretty easy to get out--the fender liner that is.

When I changed mine for the nitrous I didn't remove any fenders. All I used was a stool to stand and a cold beer. ohh and protective mat to keep the truck from getting scratched.

When i did mine, what i found to the easiest was to grab a chair to stand on, so you could lean further into the engine. I used a bunch of rags so i had something to my belly against. :)

It seemed really easy with a ratchet and a 5/8's deep socket. :dontknow: Maybe 30 mins in total..

Yup, what he said. :dito: Good luck!

I was able to get it done from the top.
I had to get a plug wire puller also, this made
the changes alot easier. Plugs looked to be kinda
shot. Will posts pics when I get a chance. Hopeful
you guys can clue me in on some indications of how
or what made my plugs look the way they did. I did
not upgrade, just OEM replacement platinum CHAMPIONS.
Thanks for the inputs. Took it out for a quick spin and
it ran and responded likely:burnout:
