There's a check ball that can get lodged in your main hoses from filler. Try getting under and tapping around on line

I ALWAYS pump my own gas even tho i live in NJ. Fuggin idiots half the time give me regular, even tho i ask for super. In my civic i'm running so much timing that regular will foul my plugs in a mile or less.

Pumping 87 octane into our trucks can certainly ruin your day (also the motor) :(..shit I remember when leaded 102 octane at 35 cents a gallon was the way to go back in the early 70's.

I dnt pump that. Unless my bro does he has been using it lately since i commute farther. Wld that make it spit it back out tho.

No LORD CHAVEZ, that wouldn't cause it. Either you are running it way too low, cause excess air to build up in the tank, or your ball valve is stuck. I used to pump gas for a living. If you run it too low, when the gas rushes in there are too many fumes in the tank, the gas is displacing the fumes fast enough that the pump will think the tank is full. try trickling the gas in slow for 1 tank, then fill up when you are at half a tank next time. If it pumps fine, your check valve is fine. If it still gives you trouble, then your check valve is probably sticking

No bro they're giving you shit. I believe it's the check ball that prevents gas from coming out during a rollover. Have you tried tapping the fuel neck, hose and all you can get to? Remove lines if you have to and see if your can run a thinner hose into vent and filler and see if you can free rollover valve. If your truck is covered with ice as most are seeing it puddles on top of tank and freezes and could get condensation in check ball, freezing it in place.
Often overfilling can cause this as well. ;)

Ok thanks i didnt think the octane deal mattered but just makin sure. And i bet my bro runs it low to lazy to put gas. Ill check up on it plus my truck is covered in about half inch of ice right now.

Wouldnt the fuel melt the frozen condensation?

What?....:dontknow:

If I run regular in my car, I wont make it a mile without my plugs fouling and not firing. First time it happened I was baffled, the second time I knew exactly what it was. Third and 4th times I threatened to sue the station. If I run anything less then 93 octane, my plugs foul. Put new plugs in and drain the gas and refill with super, and it will be fine. Its my tune, timing is wayyy too advanced to be honest, but, I also have 140,000 miles on my high compression motor and still runs like a top.

It's usually in the vent line that doesn't see fuel unless overfilled then fuel runs into vent. Seems many with ice conditions, not so much snow, have experienced this. I worked for Dodge years back when these were new and all rams and vans had this issue when we had an ice/sleet storm where its raining like heck then starts freezing leaving a think ice layer on tank, hoses, but especially that vent/overflow tube as it doesn't/cant have a cap.

Ok...i thought you were talking about the check ball in the filler neck...
