purchasing methanol for my mix

Joe from PBJ mentioned that I could purchase a product at Home Depot or Lowes that is the equivalent of methanol...of course I cannot recall the name of it. I think the methanol he purchased is/was the real thing with 116 octane rating if I remember correctly.

Anyway, where could I purchase it in either form. I need to mix it with water 50/50. I can wait for Joe to return from vacation but since I'm in Denver both Home Depot and Lowes are rather close.

Is all methanol 116 rated? I'd be worried that it would produce different results with my current tune if not.

I buy VP 100% meth in the 5 gallon and mix it 50% at home.

Its about 40.00 for a 5 gallon, which makes 10 gallons mixed. so less then 2 bucks a gallon.

Can everyone who is using different types of mixes for meth post up what kind and how you are mixing it? Now that I meth I need to know what kind to buy are how to mix it if at all.

Good question on the brand. I'm gonna have to ask Joe Donovan. Some just use winshield washer fluid and mix it I think.

I use the Factory General Motors windshield washer fluid. I work at a multi franchise dealership so its convenient.

If I mix mine 50/50 do I still need to mix it if I get say washer fluid with 40% methanol. May be a stupid question but I thought I'd ask before I do something that could damage the motor.

Use the windshield washer full strength, to wash windshield or spray to prevent detonation! Works for both...meth injection is not rocket science...contrary to popular opinion.
