Push to start Button ????

ok i want to add a push start button to my BEE and i gotta few ?'s for you guys about them


ok i want to get a yellow lighted one first



and i want to be about to start the truck with just the button
and not have to stick the key in the ignition in the on position

i guess i want it like a smart key (does this make sense?)

like the chip cant detect the key is near so it want have to be in the on position

i just get in push start and drive


i just dont see the point in having a push button to start and then having to
put the key in the ignition

have any of you guys done this ??

what would prevent anyone from being able to jump in and start it...if i'm not mistaken the key has be VERY close, unlike the new dodges that it can even be in your pocket...

well i have the gray key with a chip in it so it wont start with out that key there it would have to detect that key for it to start

some guys have 3m taped them under the steering wheel cover, so they can run the viper key mod, that way it's always there...but how are you gonna control the acc/run function...you'd certainly have to wire all those functions into the start button, but also put a delay in it so the fuel pump will prime...then what if you just want to roll the window down, or listen to a tune...

it's not as aggravating as you'd think to put the key in...although it does find me reachin for a starter when i get in the wife's jeep...

first question, yes...a good shop should be able to...

and no, our key is not a viper key to my knowledge...just a regular old ram key, however there is a replacement key with the viper head on it...i know of some that have retained the original key under the dash so as to "trick" the computer, but having the cooler looking viper head on there key ring...

just buy an srt 10 already

Save the money that you are putting into the Bee to make it look like a 10, and pay off your bills so you can get a SRT-10:idea: :idea: :idea:

YEAH.............jump into a 04 10 for low dollar............may have high miles, but that aint no thang, cause you like thorwing money at your trucks, and kickin money towards a viper ram will be quite evident............by the seat of your pants:burnout: :burnout: :rock: besides the 10 cyl engine runs a lot smoother than the 8 cyl...............marketing ploy :rock:

i'm not try to make it look like a srt i am trying to model it after the original super bee

but i wont ever sell my bee i would have to have both BEE and SRT

i think i would keep the 10 stock tho for as long as possible
