I cleaned the truck up and put it in the storage unit for the winter. I use the term "winter" loosely. "Winter" in my neck of the woods means 5-6 months. It will be mid-May at least until the roads around here are at least somewhat cleaned of all the crud and grime.

Boy, this sucks.

Sorry to hear that. Good Luck with the long winter.

I could not do that. I have a daily driver now, but I use any excuse to take the truck. It gets driven in just about all weather. Last year it was driven in the snow as well. This year I will draw the line at snow and ice.

im getting ready to do the same:( First time i see the crap they put on the road its a done deal! It will be a long winter:mad: Did you notice how much the truck likes the cool weather like i did?
I logged 5500 miles this summer!!

Hell yeah I noticed! It ran like a different truck. I swear there's 50 hp difference between 85 and 55 degrees.

I got you beat with mileage. Mine had 2300 when I bought it back in May. Now it's got 11,500! I knew that would happen the first summer. I got it all outta my system now though. I've found that driving that truck is a lot more fun in moderation. The last thing I wanna do is get sick of it.

The salt and all the other shit they put on the roads around here is why I called it quits for the year. Also, this is "burn season" here in Appalachia...The time of year when the hicks love to burn garbage in my town. I don't have a garage, so the ashes rain down all over my vehicles. It sucks.

One day I'll move to a cleaner area. Until then, I gotta put up with Shittsburgh and all the scum, slime, grit and soot that comes with it. At least in the winter.

yeah, just put mine away, already got 4 inches of snow, pulled out the sled though, now just waitin for enough snow for that

It's already been down in the high 20's so far here! I don't think snow is on the horizon for a few more weeks. The trucks run great in the cold once the tranny warms up and lets you shift! A switch to mobil or royal purple in the RC's is a must for any cold weather driving with these beasts!! I'll be putting mine away once I get her all washed up and looking purdy!!

We are expecting snow this weekend. Sixty five yesterday afternoon, drove into Chicago to meet a member who was visiting the Windy City (kyle's srt10).

Kyle is a super young man, and I hope he gets more involved here.

I expect this week will be the last of my driving the truck until late March, early April.

Let the major mods begin:

Wheels to PermaStar
Headers to Jet Hot
Cut outs installed
Resolve oil misting issue

You forgot "remove Roe SC and ship it to Chattanooga, TN (Roz) so that the bearings for the twin screw(s) don't sieze up from lack of use" :D

Nice mod list Roy!

Good concept...maybe we can work a trade...my needs are few, but clearly defined...what does the woman you are offering in trade look like...never mind that doesn't matter...just send her over.

Careful what you wish for . . . ;) :D

Any port in a storm...that is what I have learned from our sailors here.

My truck stays in the garage when ever its not being driven, however once we get snow (which means the DOT will be dropping salt like they are taste testing the Earth) the trucks gets its battery pulled and begins its winter sleep. This will most likely be in the next few weeks.

Bill.

No how you feel...Mines been put away for 2 weeks now...Come on
spring...Mid April is when it makes a appearance again...Will be o-k...:(
