Putting a new engine in the Vette!

jake why dont you use one of the hei dist but that look like points type dist from outside.. I think they are made by flaiming river? or something like that. Anyhow it works awesome! and appears just like the oem type dist.

C2 and C3 Corvettes take a special distributor due to the mechanical tach. There are only a few folks that make a hi-po replacement. :dontknow:

i have the original distributor but with a mangnetic device inside instead of points ...never got any troubles any more.... should look for the brand... ;)
( and a high performance coil... ) i changed those points several times but always problems....

Reproduction (GM Restoration Parts) "N11 OFF-ROAD" exhaust is in... and it sounds GOOD! It's not '55 Chevy loud... but not "stock" either. It sounds like a vintage Vette should sound. :) Just got done polishing her up! And OFF tomorrow to enjoy the Atlantic Coast of Florida tomorrow!   'Cause, DARN IT, I need a break. :argh:  :D

..... I forgot, after all the "surgery" in the last few months.. how much this little honey SHINES UP! :) :marchmellow: (Here's a pic of my fat ass in the reflection of the hood. :slug: :p )

Don't think of it as "open" (as in, if you wreck, you will surely be KILLED dead. ;) ) .... Think of it as "liberating". :D

Nothing like driving a car in the wind.... nothing stopping you but skill and common sense. :) Thanks, bro.

Great thread Jake. I just caught up. You made the install seem real easy. Vette looks classy dude.............never sell that car.

patrick

Already did... At least, the half that I had invested. My Pop owns it outright now. But, he still calls it my car. :dontknow:  I'll re-invest capital back into the thing, when I can. ;) Eventually, I'll have the title clean and clear again. With any hope, at least.

Thanks, Patrick.... How you been, my friend? Tanning lotion biz doing well? :)
