Putting the feelers out....

Hey Guys;

Today I just learned in a team meeting that my company (Sun Health) is being aquired by Banner Health.

I feel fairly comfortable, as by the time the deal closes I will have about 5 years in with them, so am feeling OK about the fact that they would bring me across...

But still want to put the feelers out and see whats happening in the industry, if there is room for someone with 14 years of background in the field (information security) as I need to look out for number one!!!...and not want to be the last one standing.

Well.. I know that I have at least 1 year left... its goona take 6-9 months for the deal to close, then they have guarenteed us no less than 6 months of employement, with a large portion of us moving across... so right now its a wait and see game.. but I for one am not sitting around and going to get stuck holding the stick when the dust settles.. so I want to have a plan in place to act on...

Sorry I can't help you out. But I feel for ya. I might be doing the same thing covering my own but. The company I work for says they merged with another company and everything will remain the same as before. But I am hearing from other sources that name will be changed over to the company that appears to have just bought us out.

Never can be to cautious.
