I bought the k&n drop in filter and then cut a hole in the front of my box and ran some tubing to the front of my grill and removed the black shroud on the grill. My question is do I need to cover the original opening in the air box, (the one that draws from the fender well) for the tubing that I put in to be more effective? I have 3" tubing running from the box to the grill and a 3 into 4 inch coupler on the front of the tube. Thanks guys!!
O and also, the sucking noise isn't that loud at all. The only way to hear it is to be standing directly in front of it. Ive heard other people say that they hear an awesome sound like having an actual kit, and Ive had full systems and it sounds nothing even close to that.
