Ok I've done some research and it looks like the VEC is very limited...... besides the data logging and 12v switch it doesn't look like it does anything the SCT can't do better.........

Can a VEC do anything to the transmission shift points?

When/If i get my roe'd qc should I remove the vec or use the sct with the vec since its already there for data logging and meth injection????????

Eddie youve got the stock pcm right?

no i used to stock pcm and had it re flashed to a blower flash. i would talk to sean roe before i swapped to the sct. its really what ever the tuner likes best and is more comfortable working with.

So the shift points are improved?

I think I've already asked you this and if I did ........... well that was when I was in the Future (14 hrs in the future in Singapore) and my time travel back pay have wiped some of my memory

yeah the shift points have been moved. call me on my cell if you need to ask anymore questions.

The VEC does not modify the shift points, torque management, or the fan turn on temp. Like was mentioned earlier, a blower flash is needed to use the VEC with the ROE. The VEC takes longer to install.

But the VEC allows for an infinite number of tunes via the cards. In my case, I will have a low grade fuel tune, a valet tune, no start tune, street tune, strip tune race gas, and a strip tune with N2O. The VEC data logs (SCT is supposed to get that feature as I understand it). The VEC can trigger a accessory like N2O or water meth injection. In my case we are making the water meth stand alone and putting the N2O under VEC control.

Here is a point to consider. Some of the biggest HP trucks are using the VEC: 505fastest, FSTJACKS red truck, Stinker. But you have to have a tuner that can work with the software to get good results.

if you value your engine i wouldnt have the shift points above 5500rpm...besides the Roe runs out of breathe by that point.
my 96 gts i shift at 5000-5500max rpms...there is just nothing above that point.

I use both...love both ;) If you have a QC, then the SCT is a must....if you use a pwr adder, then I would recommend both.

my dyno graph from saturday shows it still making power to 6000 rpm. the hp curve climbs all the way till he lets off. i agree unless you have forged internals you need the shift points reduced. especially the 1-2 because it climbs so fast.
