Question about installing a car navigation system?

My fiance has just bought a Pontiac G6 for scooting around. Unfortunately, her direction capabilities are sort of limiting...

I have read a lot about the Pioneer AVIC system on the website and I was wondering if the car monitoring system for oil, tire pressure etc will still work?

Any ideas or recommendations?

The AVIC will not do anything to your existing car systems, it also monitors your cars systems but does not interfer with anything existing.

Had one installed in the wife's car for quite some time (AVICN1), great unit.
